The Challenge

The uncontrolled transmission of SARS-CoV-2 has affected the world population and left everybody in a calamitous state. In fact, diseases like COVID-19 are highly unpredictable and can even put the best healthcare infrastructure to test in no time. Therefore, there needs to be a health surveillance system that can automatically manage the systematic collection, analysis, and interpretation of health data. One of the leading healthcare brands approached our team to develop an advanced tracking platform to map the number of cases affected by a specific disease. The idea was to help the healthcare professional to better prepare for a global response to communicable diseases like SARS.

Insights

To contribute towards better mapping and scaling up of healthcare response, the team developed a highly functional online web platform that tracks the live census of people affected by a disease at large. The platform encapsulates the classification of areas based on various color schemes to depict the graveness of the spreading pandemic. The innovative platform carries the capability to spread awareness about pandemics and other dreadful diseases like COVID-19 and SARS. By deploying a color scheme feature, our developers made it easier for users to contribute information about the spread of disease in their localities. Moreover, we also added Google Map API in the project, which depicts regions across the globe that are infected by a particular disease. In addition to this, the platform also enables users to enter the Zip Code of a specific area and assess the gravity of the situation in that region. Users can also use the platform to support the affected communities through donations and benefactions.
