Researchers and students often struggle to keep up with the volume of new papers, field updates, and academic news. Even with existing tools, there is no single platform that brings discovery, organization, and AI-driven analysis together in a simple, efficient way. Forefront was created to fill this gap by offering an all-in-one research experience where users can stay informed and manage their work without juggling multiple apps.

It collects information from more than 250 million research papers and trusted sources like Semantic Scholar, OpenAlex, Europe PMC, Mastodon, and global news providers, then curates it into a personalized feed based on user interests. Along with discovery, the platform offers AI tools that allow users to chat with PDFs, generate summaries, create content, and export citations to Zotero or Mendeley.

Everything from discovery to analysis and management happens inside one unified workspace, giving researchers a smooth and organized way to stay updated and work faster.

With such a massive dataset, showing users truly meaningful and relevant content was a major challenge. Standard filtering methods weren’t enough to surface high quality results from millions of academic papers.
