Project Overview

MPS (Mobile Petrol Station) is an on-demand fuel delivery project, based in Nigeria, developed by our team at Biz4Group. Here a customer can pre-book, and order petrol and diesel for their vehicles and generators, at desired location and time slots. It has three portals: customer, driver and admin. Customer and driver portal are mobile-based cross-platform applications, whereas admin portal is web-based.

Our team at Biz4Group are skilled in designing mobile petrolling solutions, as per the requirements of a client. The one such designed already, is named FuelIt.

This feature on customer portal lets user to order fuel for multiple vehicles and generators, in one go. Delivery of the fuel can also be scheduled on a prior basis.

GPS Accuracy and Connectivity Issues

Accurate Location Tracking

It was important to ensure accurate location tracking. It includes both urban areas and remote areas, with weak GPS signals.


Real-time Data Synchronization

Maintaining real-time synchronization of data, was yet another challenge, between the mobile device and central server.

SOLUTIONS

Our team has used advanced algorithms, so as to improve location accuracy. The algorithm also periodically caches location data to account for signal loss.

The team has used asynchronous data transmission, with local caching. They have implemented background synchronization processes. It then updates the server, when connectivity is restored.

Technology Stack

This open-source framework is used for building cross-platform mobile applications. Through this application, developers can create advanced apps, for iOS and Android. It can be done using a single codebase, which is written in JavaScript and React.
